Scheduling
The first session is conducted in your home. It will include a brief consultation and review of your goals, and plenty of hands-on training. The following three sessions are scheduled roughly 1 week apart. We will train your puppy in your home or out in the world, depending on your goals.
Pricing
$480 for four 1 hour sessions in your home and/or out in the world.
For follow-up sessions you would receive the discounted price of $110/hr or $60/half hr. After the package is completed you can enroll your puppy in 45 minute hands-off Puppy Professional sessions too.
Puppy Professional
Let me do the work for you!
This package is for puppies 8-12 weeks old at the start of enrollment. I will work in your home or take your puppy out into the world (safely) for training and structured socialization.
Flexibility
We will meet in person for at least 15 minutes at the start of the first session, and after that you can be hands-off. Things you can do while I train with your puppy:
-
Run errands
-
Hang out with friends
-
Take a nap
-
Endless possibilities!
You can stay and watch the sessions too, but this package is intended for you to sit back and relax while I do the work. You will still receive a written summary and video footage of your puppy's training so that you can continue their training in between sessions.
Pricing
$480 for four 45 minute sessions in your home and/or out in the world. For follow-up sessions you would receive the discounted price of $110 per 45 minutes (hands-off), or $100/hr (hands-on), or $60/half hr (hands-on).
Which option is better?
Both are effective and equally good! Some people prefer to be part of the process the entire way and some people want a break from their puppies. Both require you to continue your puppy's training with daily homework assignments.
Primer can be a better option if:
-
You are seeking help for general, routine-based challenges like house training, chewing/destruction, separation training, nipping/biting, etc.
-
You are completely new to puppy ownership and want to learn the "whys and hows" of training.
-
You enjoy asking a lot of questions along the way (I love answering questions!)
-
You learn best by practicing hands-on.
Professional can be a better option if:
-
You are seeking help for skill-based scenarios like leash skills, handling, socialization, beginning puppy skills, crate training, etc.
-
You have a busy schedule and would benefit from your puppy being trained and pottied while you're away.
-
You don't necessarily care to know the "why" and simply want to know what to do and how to do it.
-
You have an easy time following how-to videos to maintain the training I do with your puppy.
All training services include
-
An outlined summary of the strategies and skills we worked on.
-
Video footage of the skills so that you can review steps at any time (in-person sessions).
-
Ability to download a recording of our virtual consultation (virtual sessions).
-
Continued support and communication.
